On our trips we look for the Hector's Dolphins, one of the worlds smallest and rarest dolphins - they are only found off the coast of New Zealand. The dolphins are mainly in the harbour from November to March and we usually see them on most days during those months. Viewing dolphins up close from a kayak is an experience you won't forget.
We often see White Flippered Penguins and always a variety of sea birds (different types of shags, oyster catchers, sea swallows and others). On some days we may also see seals.
Please remember that these animals are all wild and there is no guarantee but we are ideally located for good access to dolphins.
